Locators also remove and replace manhole lids, and must be able to lift up to 75 pounds periodically in order to properly locate buried utility lines.The work week is Monday – Friday, with the start times varying between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. During times of peak activity, technicians will work 50-55 hours per week. The position also requires the availability for occasional on-call, including some mandatory overtime and weekend and holiday work when necessary. Travel may be required, including overnight stays and out-of-town assignments/training.
